Konidela Kalyan Babu is youngest son of Sri Venkata Rao and Smt. Anjana Devi. Kalyan was born on 2nd September, 1973. He is blessed with 2 elder sisters and 2 elder brothers. His eldest brother is Siva Sankara Vara Prasad aka Chiranjeevi is the Telugu film Superstar and another brother Nagendra Babu is also an actor cum producer.
Kalyan saw his actor-brother Chiranjeevi's growth in the film industry and developed fascination towards acting. Kalyan academics were bad and stopped his studies with his intermediate ( Plus 2 ) and pursued his career with a diploma in the computer arena.
Kalyan always wanted to be versatile actor and he does not wish to have his brothers image and influence in his career. Kalyan is having lot of fascination towards marshal arts and he joined in the karate and secured black belt. He performed lot risky martial art feats in his first film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbai.
Pawan Kalyan Delivered 7 successive hit movies starting from his debutant film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada abbayi till Khushi. He directed a movie named Johnny, where he provides story, screenplay, action sequences apart doing the main hero role in Johnny Movie. He also sung songs for Johnny and Khushi movies.
Pawan Kalyan is very selective in choosing the scripts and in a career spanning 11 years he worked for 15movies and his 13th film is in progress. It is a Telugu movie released on October 11, 1996. Power Star Pawan Kalyan the younger brother of Megastar Chiranjeevi was introduced as hero to Telugu Film Industry with this movie. It also is the first movie for the heroine Supriya who is the granddaughter of Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Pawan Kalyan got recognition for his martial arts performed in the movie. It is directed by EVV Satyanarayana and produced by Allu Aravind under Geeta Arts Banner. The music of the movie is scored by Koti.

Pawan Kalyan had to take a brief break after the release of his first film, as there were no offers for him. COMMON MAN PROTECTION FORCE
Pawan Kalyan launched an organization called ‘Common man protection force’ to help the society with a corpus fund of 1 crore rupees। Pawan Kalyan said, "I am an Indian। I don’t have any caste, creed and religion। I am inspired by the national leaders who brought us the independence. I want to use all the force of my fans to enlighten the society and try to solve the social problems in society like child prostitution, fluorosis in Warangal etc. I don’t lie and I have clean history. The only case I have now is about bigamy. I don’t want to comment about as the matter is with the court. I don’t mind going to jail if court finds me guilty." Pawan Kalyan said that he saved 1.32 crores rupees in fixed deposit and he is donating 1 crore out of it for this fund. He said that he is not after investments and buying more properties.
